🎉 Happy Friday everyone! We have been working hard to get a Switch 2 review and we’ve finally got one for you. It’s also another hot week for my UK friends, so stay hydrated! 💦

The Nintendo Switch 2 review that’s long overdue
Yes, I’ve tried it, and the good news is that it’s as good as you might have heard.
I got the Nintendo Switch 2 at launch - and without going too in-depth, it’s well worth snapping up.
My favourite part of the console is the new Joy-Con system. And my oh my, Nintendo has managed to absolutely crack this. The new Joy-Con system uses magnets that clip them to the side with a satisfying 'click' when they attach. It's so satisfying to say the least, especially from someone who enjoyed sliding the old Switch Joy-Con controllers into the console.
If you want to read the full review, you can read it on the Daily Record.
🃏 Did you know… A Game Boy Survived a Bombing During the Gulf War? One unit survived a bombing during the Gulf War and still functions to this day. It’s currently on display at Nintendo’s World Store in New York
🚨 ICYMI
⛱️ Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is out - and the reviews are stellar. Here’s Eurogamer’s take on the “emotionally resplendent” game.
🚄 Advertising on the London Underground made a little oopsie. One advert claimed that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond was “out now”. It isn’t. VGC covers it right here.
🤖 Cyberpunk: 2077’s new update is going to be big - and exciting. Problem is, it has also been delayed. GamesRadar covers it in depth here.
🕹️ Third-party games on the Nintendo Switch 2 haven’t been doing well at all. GamesIndustry.biz covers it right here.
🔫 An alleged leak of Battlefield 6’s new campaign has been unveiled as the leaky EA ship continues to spew water. GameSpot has the coverage here.
Have I missed a story? Let me know.

🎮 What we’re playing this week
A reminder, my colleague and the other writer of this newsletter,
is still away on parental leave juggling a newborn. So the newsletter is a one-man band for a few more weeks. So here’s what I (Chris) have been playing:I’ve been chipping away at Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom on the Nintendo Switch 2 for the past week. But another game has caught my eye and I’m pretty shocked I’ve never played it.
Deltarune was released a couple of weeks ago and I’ve never played Undertale all the way through so what a perfect time to pick it up when I have a little spare time.

As a massive Counter-Strike fan, the recent Austin Major has just finished - and this ace by The Mongolz player 910 is a sight to behold.

👾 RETROspective
If you enjoy weird and wonderful PC games you may have never heard of, Anachronox was released on PC this time 24 years ago.
The game is set on an abandoned alien artificial planet at the centre of the universe, now home to lowlifes, thieves, and scoundrels. Sylvester "Sly Boots" Bucelli - a down-on-his-luck PI - and a cast of 6 other unlikely heroes on their quest to discover who or what is trying to destroy the universe.
The turn-based real-time battler received huge praise during its release - and it even came out as a full-length feature film on Machinima.
